A 13-year-old Nashville girl died last weekend after she was accidentally shot by her mother who was looking for keys in her purse. It happened just before 10pm Saturday, March 23, 2024. De’Ann Radley told police the .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol went off in her purse. Her daugher Dearria Radley died from a single gunshot at Vanderbilt Pediatric Emergency Room. No charges were immediately filed. The Metro Nashville Police Department’s Youth Services Division is investigating.
