Power Outages, Storm Damage in Sparta Tuesday

Electric crews in Sparta worked around the clock to restore power after strong winds early Tuesday morning brought down wooden poles.  Sparta Mayor Jerry Lowery said on Facebook that the storm took out critical lines and it was one of the longest power outages in the city limits.  He praised the hard work of the linemen and thanked everyone for their patience.  The old wooden poles are being replaced with steel poles to upgrade the system.
